If you looked up "Tex-Mex Restaurant" in the dictionary ... well, you probably wouldn't find anything listed, but in a perfect world (i.e., one that conforms to my personal desires of the moment), you would find a photo spread taken at Mary Lou's Cafe.
That pretty much says it all. The ratings graphic says the rest.

22 demerits on the city inspection seems like a lot. Is the kitchen at this place filthy?
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the kitchen; the dining room was clean within acceptable parameters.
DeleteKeep in mind that the demerits issued by the city's inspectors often involve documentation issues, which may be important but don't always directly correspond to a real health issue. You can find the city's report by searching the restaurant name at http://www.sanantonio.gov/health/Food-Establishment-Inspection.html
this "review" isn't worth the electrons it takes to read it.
